Identify and analyse the requirements: skills assessment
The skills assessment is a critical step in optimising the training investment and to fully satisfy participants. It takes into account the company’s objectives and strategy, your team`s expectations, the current knowledge and the potential evolution of each participant.
The company analysis:
Know the company`s objectives, its strategy, any planned projects that will impact the teams. A training policy needs to be built upstream in response to changes which will require the development of new knowledge inside the company. The elaborated training policy will integrate the foreseen changes and will serve the company through its constant evolution.
Department analysis:
Communicate the analysis to the service leaders, managers, projects managers that will be impacted by the company evolution or by the projects that will lead to changes and forecast suitable actions.
Participant analysis:
Present a status overview, widening one’s knowledge turns out to be an irreplaceable approach, if we take into account the ever growing evolution of new technologies. This should be followed by individual interviews, analysis of professional background, online practical knowledge evaluation and the participants’ skills assessment. Those steps will enable the identification of his/her ability level and hence, thanks to the analysis define a customised training plan.
